Goan beach scene is divided into two regions, North and South. North Goa: The beaches of North Goa are charming, attractive and lively. The beach activities here involve adventure sports, rave parties, flea market, zoom shopping bazaars, carnivals, and many other activities. The coastline of North Goa starts from and extend up to Arambol making it a 30 km stretch of beautiful beaches The most famous North beaches are, Candolim, Calangute, Baga, Anjuana and Vagator. Farther North, past estuaries of the many streams that gurgle through the land, are a series of secluded beaches, Arambol, Ozrant, Nerul to name a few. South Goa: Like a lace frill on the edge of a colorful skirt are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world- dazzling stretches of golden sand edging the aquamarine expanse of the Arabian Sea. zoom The beaches here are breathtakingly beautiful and pristine. South Goa extends from Vasco da Gama and Bogmalo to to Palolem Beach.The most famous South beaches are Colva and Palolem. Others include, Utorda, Majorda, Velsao, Arossim, Cavelossim, Benaulim, Betalbatim, Sernabatim, Veludo, Fatrade, Pedda, Zalor and Bogmalo. The best time to visit Goa is between November and mid April.
